The National Resilience Initiative

The National Resilience Initiative is a coordinated effort to rebuild America’s capacity to grow, process, and manufacture the materials it depends on, so that supply shocks, price spikes, and foreign control never again decide what American communities can build.

America’s supply chains were optimized for cost. The next decade demands they be optimized for continuity. The initiative builds material supply chains that hold under pressure: domestic, distributed, and independent of foreign entities of concern.

Resilience is measurable

Resilience is the ability to source, process, and deliver critical materials inside American borders when global supply is disrupted. Every AFG facility, grower contract, and DBX certification is built against that standard.

Domestic capacity, verified.

American facilities supplied by American growers. No claim of domestic manufacturing leaves this company without a traceable supply chain behind it.

Compliance built in.

FEOC-free sourcing, BABA domestic content, and IRA 45X eligibility engineered in from the field forward. When the rules tighten, our customers are already inside them.

Continuity when it counts.

Distributed regional processing means no single point of failure. A disruption at one node is a reroute, not a shutdown.

One initiative, four organizations

American Fiber Group builds the industrial capacity. The Bioeconomy Foundation provides the independent research and standards that verify it. Fiber Foundry puts resilient materials in people’s hands. Now We Evolve teaches the history that explains why this work matters.

Questions and answers

What is the National Resilience Initiative?

The National Resilience Initiative is a coordinated effort to rebuild America’s capacity to grow, process, and manufacture the materials it depends on, so that supply shocks, price spikes, and foreign control never again decide what American communities can build.

Is this a government program?

No. It is a private, market-led initiative. Its materials and facilities help participants qualify for federal programs such as IRA 45X manufacturing credits and Build America Buy America procurement, but the initiative itself is built and funded by industry.

Is this a defense project?

No. Defense is one of six sectors served, alongside agriculture, construction, energy, mobility, and emergency response. Resilience that serves only one buyer is not resilience.

How do I participate?

Grow it, build with it, buy it, or fund it. Every door is listed above, and the inquiry desk routes you to the right one.
