Bamboo Perimeter Program
(Windbreak + Revenue)
Protect your fields now.
Add a second revenue stream in year four.
AFG’s Bamboo Perimeter Program installs non-invasive clumping bamboo along field borders and fence lines to create a permanent windbreak and microclimate buffer. You keep your core acreage working; the perimeter earns. The model is simple:
Years 0–1: AFG designs and installs clumping bamboo windbreaks. You get establishment support and irrigation guidance where needed.
Years 2–3: You receive windbreak service payments for verified perimeter protection and stand maintenance.
Year 4 and beyond: AFG buys thinnings (culm and biomass) under guaranteed offtake, creating a durable, inflation-resistant revenue stream.
Operational benefits:
Reduced wind damage, sandblasting, and evapotranspiration
Better sprayer drift control at field edges
Livestock shelter and dust control on mixed operations
Erosion control along roads and ditch lines
Visual and noise screening where needed
Contract options:
Grower-funded install: Higher long-term net; AFG offtake + service payments
AFG-funded install: Lower upfront; revenue share on thinnings
EDC/Grant-assisted: Where available, we structure matching so you keep more of the upside
Species & compliance:
We specify clumping, non-invasive species suited to your zone. All installs follow county and state guidelines and avoid right-of-way conflicts.
